The Vet Visit Companion is that someone.Your second set of ears at the vet — helping you prepare, listening carefully, asking questions, taking notes, and clarifying anything that feels unclear.Afterwards, they help you understand what happened and what comes next.Not a vet. Not a salesperson. Not someone who makes decisions for you.Just someone in your corner — helping you feel prepared, heard, informed and supported, so you can make the decisions that are right for you and your pet.

The 3 main services a Vet Visit Companion provides are outlined below
You may decide to get help with Prepare only, or to add Accompany, or to go for all three.

Step One

Prepare

This is where the Vet Visit Companion gets to know the owner and helps them identify what's important to them and what they need to know from the planned visit.

  • Holds telephone/video consultation

  • Prepares personalised question list to bring to the veterinarian appointment

Step Two

Accompany

The Vet Visit Companion sits in on the visit, listens and takes notes on what the vet is saying while the owner concentrates on their pet.

  • Attends the vet visit with the owner, taking notes

  • Clarifies any areas of confusion or potential misunderstanding

  • Makes sure important questions aren't forgotten

Step Three

Complete

After the visit, the Vet Visit Companion helps the owner make sense of what happened, if there are any outstanding questions, and what the next steps are.

  • Hold post-appointment debrief

  • Sends written post-appointment summary within 8 hours

  • Follows-up within 24 hours

The Vet Visit Companion and the Vet

We know that vets love animals and want to do their best for them and their owners.The Vet Visit Companion is only there to aid the communication. They won't diagnose your pet, interpret test results, recommend treatments, advise on treatments to choose, contradict the veterinarian's clinical judgement, negotiate treatment options, give medication instructions, promise outcomes or act as a substitute for a veterinary professional.The Vet Visit Companion can't and won't make any medical decisions for you. But we can help make sure you understand what the vet has told you, what the options are and what questions you still need answered.
